thanks for your response on the dear creatures coat, i ordered it heavily discounted in khaki and i can't wait to get it. looks like it's going to really be a wardrobe staple for me. also want to say i'm a huge fan of your blog, it's helped me dress the way i've always wanted but for some reason never did. it's so nice to look put together every day.

quick style question- I recently bought the Missoni for converse high tops in the mint chevron color. I've got a few outfits that would work with them when I go home to Kentucky for the summer, but how do you suggest I wear them when I get back to Chicago in the fall?

Anyway,
Pastel colored jeans and chambray shirts (or an oversized tee). Keep it feminine with the trousers but quirky with the top. Or you can go full on feminine and add statement accessories. Maybe a leather jacket.
